Event and Production Cooks

VT Group is an innovative catering company on the forefront of catering, events and food production located in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a talented butcher along with production and event chefs to join our culinary team. Our kitchen is dynamic, unique and creative! At Vibrant Table, kitchen staff are given opportunities to grow, to learn and to lead. Our seasoned crew is able to demonstrate and teach a wide variety of menu items and cooking techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level cooks as well as experienced chefs.
The butcher position is primarily responsible for portioning meat, pork and fish along with marinating and braising meats. Due to the nature of the business, they are required to do many other production tasks as well as attend events. High volume butchering experience is a plus. Catering or banquet experience is a plus. Specific items we fabricate often are salmon, short rib, pork shoulder and chicken.
Production/Event chefs are responsible for a wide range of food production including creative hors d ouevres, sauces, vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees, desserts, etc. Event chefs are responsible for finishing and presenting food at events along with cleaning and other supportive tasks.
Ability to learn in a fast paced environment

Oregon Food Handlers Card
Ability to lift heavy objects and work for long hours standing up
