Restaurant Crew – Oregon Zoo, temporary

You’ll be working in a positive, fun environment at Portland’s most visited attraction while building your resume with skills in customer service, teamwork and leadership. Schedules are based on weather and zoo attendance, but we try to find shifts around your school and work schedule.
These positions require a “can-do” attitude and exceptional customer service skills. Food services is specifically hiring, at this time, for our spring season.
The Restaurant Crew performs a variety of tasks including food preparation, service and delivery of food products, operation of various food service/concessionary equipment, cashiering, and clean-up in cafe style restaurants and other food locations. Restaurant Crew members are baristas, cashiers, expeditors, line cooks, servers, prep cooks, bussers/runners and dish washers.
Some experience preparing and/or serving quick food specialty items. Sufficient education to demonstrate the ability to read instructions and to perform routine math calculations with accuracy. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service. We are a seven day a week operation. Schedules may be flexible, so staff must be able to work multiple shifts including, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must have ability to obtain a Multnomah County food handler’s permit at the time of employment.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Valid food handlers card upon hire.
- Available a minimum of two days a week.
