Prepared Foods Manager

Our Table Cooperative brings all stakeholders in the local foodshed from field to table into a single vertically integrated collective. We are looking for a Prepared Foods Manager who will work closely with farmers and customers to define and execute a complete strategy for building the cooperative’s prepared foods business from the ground up.
The job is a mix of high-level strategy and business development with a healthy dose of hands-on work involving everything from recipe development, production, packaging, maintenance, and customer relations. It requires a person who understands the fullness of what we want to achieve, is willing to add their creative energy and heart to the job, and can take ownership of the project. The Prepared Foods Manager will be expected to develop a menu of healthy, convenient and delicious foods for sale to the cooperative’s customers through various retail and direct-to-consumer channels. The goal is to use and highlight ingredients raised on the Cooperative’s farm or by independent regional producers affiliated with the Cooperative.

Our Table Cooperative was created out of a heartfelt realization that there are numerous systemic challenges to re-building a local food economy. This project is all about solutions to these challenges. We are creating a regional food cooperative that embraces the ethics and systems design of permaculture, the fertility and deep connection to the land of Biodynamics, controls costs by sharing resources, and builds enormous amounts of social capital and skills while having a whole lot of fun. Our Table Cooperative brings together three groups of stakeholders into a single vertically integrated entity – workers, independent regional producers, and consumers.
