The Red Lion Hotel on the River is interviewing for a Pastry Cook. Our Pastry Cook is responsible for planning, prepping, setting up and preparing quality products to include, but not limited to breakfast bakeries, pastries, desserts, and other specified baked goods.
**Performs preparation of pastries as allocated by the Executive Chef.
**Prepares dough according to recipes and procedures.
**Responsible for consistently shaing dough’s into required products.
**Complies with all portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.
**Will also be working on the line as needed.
**Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to decorate, weigh, measure, maintain holding temperature, bake, cook, whip, refrigerate, fold, grate, pipe, coat or otherwise produce food in the pastery kitchen.
**Ensures all machines such as blenders, electric mixers, etc. are cleaned after each use.
**All other duties as assigned.
**Must have a minimum of one year pastry experience.
**Must have hot line experience.
**Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
**Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift.
**High school education, GED, or equivalent experience.
**Ability to operate and maintain most commercial kitchen equipment required.
**Must be able to work any day of the week including holidays.
