We are a dedicated gluten-free bakery specializing in high quality breads, pastries, pies and cakes. We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional baker to join our pastry team. This is a great opportunity for a creative, team oriented baker who is interested in learning more about gluten-free baking and contributing to the success and growth of a local, growing business.
Responsibilities will include: assisting with all aspects of pastry production, maintaining inventory control procedures, maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment, upholding ODA/FDA regulations. This position will begin as part-time during training, then increase to full-time hours during the bulk of the summer. Hours in the fall may vary between part and full-time, but this is yet to be determined.
The successful candidate must be willing to work collectively, must be reliable, and must be adaptive to changing situations. Must be able to lift 60 pounds, do repetitive motion work and be on your feet for long periods of time.
The ability to take direction and training with ease, communicate effectively, follow established recipes and techniques as well as the ability to take initiative and exercise your creativity is a must.
