Line Cooks/Prep Cooks
We just opened a new restaurant and are looking for experienced, professional cooks to complete our kitchen.
The new place is 3 times the size of our Alberta location with increased seating, a much larger kitchen, and an Indian market. With the new elbow room, we will be able to put more emphasis on seasonality, menu changes and increased spontaneity. We can’t wait to spread our wings.
We make everything from scratch and are proud of the food we make. Our chef/owner has worked for great kitchens like Chez Panisse, Simpatica, Laurelhurst Market and Lovely Hula Hands. Like those kitchens, we put a great deal of emphasis on teaching and attention to detail.
The Oregonian picked us as their Rising Star restaurant in 2013. You can read it here. . . http://www.oregonlive.com/diner-2013/index.ssf/2013/06/diner_2013_rising_star_bollywo.html#/0
We’ve worked in kitchens a long time and know what it’s like to be cooks. We provide stable hours, a flexible schedule and pay better than most, typically 13-15/hr (kitchen gets 40% of the tips). We have a health care plan for those that have been here more than 90 days.
We have high expectations. . .but we’re fair.
We specialize in Indian street food, but really it’s just cooking and 95% of it is the same as any other good kitchen. . . organization, tasting, work ethic, accountability.
We want to hear from you. Please indicate if you are interested in line or prep positions.
