Gubanc’s is a long-established, third-generation family owned Lake Oswego gathering place. The GM is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the business. He/she ensures a healthy, safe work environment for the employees, oversees training, food quality, service quality, builds rapport with guests, teaches and develops existing staff, schedules, oversees ordering of food and supplies – any and all aspects of the restaurant.
The GM works side-by-side on the restaurant floor with his/her crew. There is no duty too minor for the GM to complete whether it’s jumping in the dish pit or helping the bussers. The GM must be hands on at all times to ensure complete guest satisfaction and to provide a smooth work environment for the crew. This is an active position requiring the ability to be on your feet for extended hours while moving at a very fast pace.
Qualified candidates should possess:
1) Experience in the hospitality trade (at least 3 years)
2) Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
3) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4) A well-groomed, professional appearance
5) Ability to hold one’s self and others to the highest of standards
6) Good sense of humor
