Who we are looking for:
Culinary professionals who are serious about the craft and their careers. Those who have proven their dedication to exceed expectations and desire to grow within the food craft and want the opportunity to grow within a top organization. We are looking for those who know what we do isn’t easy, but thrive on the fast-paced hum of the kitchen and find the greatest reward in seeing the joy that an amazing meal provides their guests.
6+ months experience in fast paced, ingredients driven, industrial kitchen;
Reasonable knife skills;
Positive attitude under pressure and time constraints;
Desire to learn from other team members; and
Want to move up in the Restaurant Industry.
Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per dupe from servers.
Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare more than estimated needs.
Date all food containers and rotate as per the SOP, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up.
Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
Return all food items not used on next shift to designed storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per SOP.
Help with prep and pastry departments.
Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift. May perform other duties as assigned
