Cooks/Kitchen Crew – Oregon Zoo, temporary

Salary: $9.10 – $9.70 hourly
The Kitchen Crew performs a variety of tasks including food preparation for restaurants, picnics and banquet events, opening and closing various kitchens and kitchen clean up. Kitchen crew members are line cooks, prep cooks and a la carte kitchen cooks.
These positions require some experience preparing and/or serving quick food specialty items. Sufficient education to demonstrate the ability to read instructions and to perform routine math calculations with accuracy. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service.
We are a seven day a week operation. Schedules may be flexible, so staff must be able to work multiple shifts including, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to obtain a Multnomah County food handler’s permit at the time of employment. •Must be at least 18 years old.
•One year related experience in a commercial/restaurant kitchen and/or culinary school preferred.
•Valid food handlers card upon hire.
