Pok Pok Restaurants is hiring an experienced Catering Manager to build, develop and solicit catering business for our established restaurant group. The Catering Manager will be responsible for the growth of our relatively new program. An ideal candidate will have broad experience with restaurant operations, customer service and sales. The position requires tenacity, motivation and the desire to build systems and sales.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
·Initiating activities such as sales calls, site visits and cold calls to generate revenue and book business.
·Generating a consistent revenue stream, via sales from Pok Pok Restaurants kitchens and mobile food trailer to new and existing clients
·Responding to all customer communications within 1 business day
-Coordinating and scheduling staff. Attending and working at catering and promotional events as required.
·Generating proposals, managing contract deadlines and receiving deposits/payments.
·Interfacing with other departments and providing on-site coordination to ensure successful execution of all events.
·Creating events from start to finish, using Pok Pok Restaurants resources
·Maintaining our events calendar and communicating pertinent details to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
·Assisting in the creation of marketing material/brochures as needed.
·Identifying and and attending industry related events to generate new business.
·Demonstrating an understanding of Pok Pok Restaurants’ cuisine and culture.
·Planning and coordinating menus in tandem with our Director of Kitchen Operations
·Developing, following and communicating SOPs for all types of events.
·Maintaining a database of SOPs, menus, pricing and other resource materials.
This position requires:
·5+ years of combined food/beverage service and sales experience
·Event supervisory experience
·Saavy with email communication and experience with Google Documents. Ability to demonstrate competence with basic online programs and computer software.
·A passion for Asian food and beverages.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Availability to work weekends and evenings
·Valid OLCC and Food Handler’s Cards
·A valid Oregon Driver’s License and access to a maintained, working vehicle
