Job Description

Line/Prep-Cook Needed
Hours needed are below:
Line Cook: (Monday 7:30AM – 2:30PM), (Tuesday 5:30AM – 2:30PM), (Friday 2PM – 8PM)
Prep Cook: (Saturday 7:30AM – 2PM), (Sunday 7:30AM-2PM or 2:00PM – 8:00PM)

We can also offer part time: Monday & Tuesday only.

MUST have breakfast experience! Knife skills, and the ability to prioritize & take instruction are required. Productivity and speed win the day. Will train. Starting pay is dependent on experience.. Increase based on performance/90 day evaluation. Medical coverage offered for those working 30+ hrs. per week. Eligible to apply after 90 days. Kitchen staff also receives portion of daily tips. Restaurant is a friendly historic diner w/ family feel & staff. Please don’t apply if you can’t fill the needed schedule or have the necessary breakfast experience. Thanks! :)

Must have flexible schedule- which could include certain times of on-call, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Must be able to utilize gas ovens, range, deep fryer, industrial mixer(s) & dishwasher
Must be able to work in close quarter & high-speed environment
Must have ability to lift & carry 50lbs
Must have a valid Food Handlers Card
Must have valid I.D.
Must have reliable transportation and attendance
Must have ability to read, write, & speak English (Ability to speak Spanish a plus)

Prep Cook Responsibilities Include:

Maintain Prep-List to Expected Levels (Chopping, Baking, Mixing, etc.)
Wash Kitchenware/Dishes (Pans, Pots, Bins, Knives, etc.)
Maintain Sanitary & Clean Working Area (Sanitizing, Wiping, Sweeping, Mopping, etc.)
Separate & Dispose Waste & Recycling
Assist Line-Cooks When Needed
Unload/Organize/Store Delivery

Line Cook Responsibilities Include:

Cook on the Line Utilizing the Flat-top, Gas Burners, & Deep Fryer
Open and/or Close the Kitchen
Fill in for Other Staff Member’s Vacations and/or Sick Days
Maintain Lowboys to Expected Levels (clean, stocked, etc.)
Wash Kitchenware/Dishes (Pans, Pots, Bins, Knives, etc.)
Maintain Sanitary & Clean Working Area (Sanitizing, Wiping, Sweeping, Mopping, etc.)
Assist in Unloading & Organizing Weekly Food & Produce Delivery
Assist in Separating & Disposing Waste & Recycling
Assist in Kitchen Cleaning Duties
Assist in Preparing the Prep List
Assist Prep-Cooks as Needed
