Coffee Division is hiring an experienced barista for our shop.
We are looking for individuals who care about what they do, and want to share that passion with others.
Management experience is a big plus, so let us know if you have worked in managerial role.
We are happy to train the right person.
+ Punctuality and availability 6:30 am – 9pm
+OLCC server’s permit
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member
+ Willingness to learn and follow Coffee Division standards
+ Ability to create coffee, espresso, and espresso drinks at a professional level – this includes pulling killer espresso to our specs (and working the grind accordingly), pouring rosettas, tulips, etc., and patiently making chemex after chemex with care.
+ Develop and maintain a discriminating palate in regards to coffee, espresso, and tea
+ Tasting coffee and espresso throughout your shift for quality control.
+ Care and investment in the production of quality coffee.
+ Comprehension of coffee processing, brewing, and coffee merchandise.
+ Requires access to internet to check scheduling, email, etc.
+ Requires phone access for contact purposes
+ Meticulous in habit and able to follow instructions, task lists, and maintain a balanced attitude toward constructive criticism.
+ Retain a professional demeanor toward customer service, while providing a personal touch to service.
+ Provide us with feedback to help make Coffee Division a better cafe, and a better place to work.
+ Ability to initiate side work with discretion.
+ Taking ownership for your actions.
