We are looking to fill a very crucial part of our kitchen team.
We are a restaurant/bar/theater/event venue. We strive to buy local & fresh. We are partnered with several local farms that provide us with most of our produce and meats. Our food is simple, ingredient forward preparation. We are currently putting in an onsite garden. We have a full time pastry chef and banquet chef. Our crew is young and eager to learn from someone who can teach.
You have a strong background in a professional kitchen. You like food, good food, prepared with attention to detail. You like to mentor. You like to have fun, but know how to balance fun and hard work. The pressure of high volume services make you feel accomplished. You like it when a diner is pleased and when someone is not you evaluate where you/we could do better. You work fast and efficiently (smarter not harder). You like a clean space to make your food yet you like to get your hands dirty in the ground and appreciate where your food comes from. You have experience working with clay bottom deck ovens.
This is a full time position 5days per week. Set schedule. Weekends and holiday availability is crucial.
We are expanding soon and getting in now creates a great opportunity for you to grow within the company.
Our kitchen and equipment is kept clean and as close to new as possible.
